Mike

You could say Mike Gomes’ life came full-circle when he and his wife Juanita bought Mike’s Produce in April 2014. He grew up on a 10-acre farm in Osoyoos where he and his family planted, harvested and packaged a laundry list of vegetables and soft fruits. From onions, garlic and potatoes to cherries and apricots, he learned first-hand what it takes to be a grower.

This put him in good stead to operate a thriving grocery market that places an emphasis on sourcing fresh, healthy food from local growers.

Mike even spent time working at his future business as a part-time employee while pursuing a business diploma at UBC Okanagan. Before taking ownership of Mike’s Produce, Mike worked in realty in Kelowna for nearly a decade.
